Tips for Girls for Prom Night
So, you want to wear gloves . . .
You wear them on the dance floor but remove them for dinner.

Make sure your bra fits so your dress will be perfect.

• You can be fitted at our store for the proper fit.
• If your dress is strapless you need a strapless bra.
• If your dress is a halter neck you need a strapless bra or one with convertible straps.
• If your dress has a low back you need bra cups without straps, some are available as braza bras that stick on the body.
• If your dress is slinky you need a body shaper made of spandex with a built in bra that will smooth your shape.

Carry a small purse to compliment your dress.
Include: ID, house keys, prom tickets, lip gloss, mini mirror, breath mints, band aids, cell phone — be sure battery is fully charged and turned off, (phone is for your safety and not a time to be talking to friends — concentrate on your date), safety pins, tissue, and enough money for a cab ride home if necessary.

Clothing options to create your total look.

• Choose shoes with ankle straps for security and low enough heels that you can wear all evening.
• To enhance your curves select a dress with boning. If you are not comfortable showing a lot of skin select a more conservative style.
• Don't buy a dress that is too tight, you'll be uncomfortable all evening. You look smaller in a proper fitting dress.
• Colors are vibrant this prom season from lime green to oranges to iridescent purple to soft pinks and lavenders. Yellow and blues are
  also important.

• Be sure to tell your date the color of your dress. He will need the information to get the proper color of corsage. He will also need to know if your dress is strapless so he can get the proper style of corsage.

Is there a special guy you would like to go to the prom with you?

• First make sure he isn't already going to the prom with someone else.
• Next, create ways for the two of you to be together, sitting next
  to each other in class, walking to your next class, studying in the library together.
• Ask a friend of yours to let the guy you are interested in know you would like to go to prom with him.
• Be involved in school activities where he will see you.
• You might have a special guy friend that you could casually suggest you go together because you want prom night to be totally fun and without the tension of dating a guy you hardly know. Just ask the guy you have your eye on that you would like him to take you to prom.

Be a problem solver on prom night. To have the night of your life plan for small emergencies:

• Some of your hair comes down and has to be fixed. Carry a few
  bobby pins for a quick fix.
• A strap on your shoes breaks; figure out ahead of time how you
  might fix it.
• Your double date is late arriving and doesn't leave enough time
  to take pictures.
• Be ready in time to allow pictures to be snapped and still are able to keep your dinner reservations.
• Don't drink and drive.
